Yolande M. Bartkowiak

Yolande M. Bartkowiak Yolande M. Bartkowiak, 91, of Dunkirk, died Friday evening, November 11, 2016 at Buffalo General Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born June 12, 1925, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte (Wenski) Bartkowiak. A graduate of the former St. Mary's Academy, Class of 1943 and the former Eastman School for Dental Hygienists, in Rochester, Class of 1945. Employed by County Schools where she worked from 1951 to 1968 and retired from the offices of Dr. James P.Foley in 1987. Memberships included Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Surviving are sisters Elizabeth "Betty" Bartkowiak of Barefoot Bay, Florida and Kathleen "Kay" (John) Szczerbacki of Leesburg, Florida, along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by a sister,Ursula Parker. Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 o'clock
in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St.Hyacinthás Cemetery.
