Yolanda A. Sobilo, 92, of Dunkirk, died Sunday morning, October 7, 2018, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 30, 1925, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Frank and Sophie (Pauszek) Sikorski.
She married Frank“Congi” Sobilo, who she was married to for 68 years. They were married June 12, 1948. A retired employee of Brooks Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed to crochet and made blankets for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she also liked family time and to cook for her family.
Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Surviving are her sons Carl (Judith) Sobilo, Roy (Tanya) Sobilo and Gary (Patricia) Sobilo all of Dunkirk, grandchildren Kevin Sobilo, Carolyn Sobilo, Beth (John) Earing, Sarah Sobilo, Andrew Sobilo, Emily (Winston) Woodard III, Joshua (Kelsey) Sobilo, seven great-grandchildren, along with nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, is her husband Frank “Congi” Sobilo, who died on 11-19-2016, brother Donald Sikorski and sister Delphine Renwick.
There will be no visitations and a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 10 a.m. in Blessed Mary Ange-la R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Entombment will be in the Pieta Mausoleum at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
