Violet June Sobilo, favorably known as June, 99, passed away on Nov. 6, 2021, peacefully with family by her side.
She was born in Dunkirk, N.Y., Aug. 29, 1922. Beloved wife of the late Walter Sobilo, husband of 62 years.
She worked for Vandervault Lingerie Company, Petris Baking Products, before retiring after 20 years from Brooks Memorial Hospital. Where she was well known and admired.
June is survived by a daughter, Betty (late Dennis Sr.) Clemens of Fredonia, N.Y.; three sons: Walter (Connie) Sobilo of Brocton, N.Y., Richard (Chris) Sobilo of Forestville, N.Y., and James (Terry) Sobilo of Dunkirk, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
June was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Sobilo; a son, John Sobilo; two brothers: Big Bud and Bud McCormick; and a sister, Marie (Phil) Moreno.
June was a dedicated mother and grandmother first and foremost, she treasured her children and grandchildren. She was a kind hearted, loving and always put others first.
Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32-”Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”She leaves behind a legacy of love. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
