Victoria L. Nalepa

December 21, 1923 — December 7, 2017

Victoria L. Nalepa, 93, of Dunkirk, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, peacefully at the Absolut at Dunkirk.

She was born in Dunkirk, December 21, 1923, daughter of the late John and Laura (Ludwiszewski) Doktor.

Victoria was a homemaker and past employee of the former Van Raalte Corporation during WW II. Victoria loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to cook, animals, her K-9 companion “Fenway” and to watch the birds especially Cardinals and Chickadees.

A devout Catholic, she was a member of Blessed Mary R..C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig and past Member of the Parish Rosary Society.

Surviving are her children Norman (Brenda) Nalepa of Pensacola Florida, Martin (Barb) Nalepa, Jane (Larry) Kuczenski and John Nalepa all of Dunkirk, grandchildren Carolyn (Kevin) Yeatts, Rachel (Matthew) Deufemia, Jamie (Shawn) Logan, Rich (Carly) Nalepa, Scott (Bekah) Kuczenski, several great-grandchildren to include Nicole, Jacob, Paige, Paxton, Payton along with several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to her parents is her husband Stanley “Barney” Nalepa and brother Edward “Doc” Doktor.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday 5-8 PM at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
