Steven R. Shuart, 65, of Highlands TX, died Tuesday September 25, 2018, at the home of his brother in Fredonia, following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born May 20, 1953, in Dunkirk, son ofthe late Marshal and Dorothy (Vogt) Shuart.
A graduate of Dunkirk Schools and Navarro Jr College.Steve retired as owner of his own business Intermodal Service, based in Houston, TX.
His memberships current and past include the Forth Ward Falcons Club, Moniuszko Club, Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club and Dom Polski Club. Steve enjoyed to come back to the local area, where he was born and raised for the summer months where he enjoyed to go for a ride, see the sunsets over Lake Erie, and most of all to spend time with family and friends.
He is survived by a beautiful blended family, his companion and wife of 17 years Gloria S. (Belsha) Shuart of Highlands, TX, son Steven J. Shuart, step son Scott C. Robertson, Stepdaughter Megan (Ariel) Soltura, step-daughter Stacey (Joseph) Boothe, Stepson Eric Houseman, granddaughter Lindsey N. Shuart, stepgrandchildren Coby Robertson, Scott Robertson II, Aric Soltura, Adriana Houseman, Carol Boothe,Ethan Houseman, Brother Dennis (Noreen) Shuart of Fredonia, niece Denise Shuart, nephews DavidShuart, Daniel Shuart along with many friends also survive. Preceded in death, in addition to his parents, is a brother Michael Shuart.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday starting at2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins Street in Dunkirk.
