Ruth M. Bradley, 95, of Dunkirk, died Thursday morning, March 10, 2016 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Dunkirk March 24, 1920, daughter of the late Stanley and Anna (Mackowiak) Berek.
A homemaker all her life, Ruth enjoyed time spent with her family as well as cooking and gardening. } She was a member of Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth.
Surviving are her children, Natalie Preischel of Angola, Thomas Bradley of Georgia, James (Kathy) Bradley of Dunkirk, eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister Virginia Bracey of Eden, along with nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband of 41 years, Edward G. Bradley, whom she married June 21, 1941 and died October 23, 2003, brother Robert Berek and sisters Hildegarde Jesse and Delphine Michalski.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock at Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.
