Rose M. Paluck, 98, of Dunkirk, died Tuesday morning, April 17, 2019, at the Chautauqua Nursing & Rehab. She was born in Dunkirk, August 1, 1919, daughter of t he late Joseph and Theresa (Spano) DeCastro.
A retired employee of Brooks Memorial Hospital, Rose had also worked in the past at Chautauqua Opportunities, Petri Cookie s in Dunkirk and SUNY at Fredonia.
Rose enjoyed many things and among them were sewing, knitting and ceramics.
Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig, Dunkirk Senior Citizens Center.
Surviving are her sons Frank Paluck of Dunkirk, Richard (Janet) Paluck of California, her twin sister Mary Odebralski of Florida, grandchildren Lisa (John) Miller, Cheryl Paluck, Michael (Kristina) Paluck, Stephen (Laura) Paluck, great-grandchildren Elyssa, Ella, Kaitie, Chloe, Bram and Jim. Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband Joseph J. Paluck who died August 16, 1972, brothers Joseph, Samuel, Anthony Jim DeCastro.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o’clock in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Church. Interment will follow inSt. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
