Patricia J. Pieszak

Patricia J. Pieszak, 71, of Dunkirk, died Wednesday morning, March 25, 2015 at UPMC in Erie, PA.She was born October 20, 1943, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Walter and Joanna (Poznanczyk) Lyczkowski. A retired employee of Nestle Purina in Dunkirk, Pat at one time had worked at the former Appianway Pizza Plant in Fredonia. She enjoyed life, times spent spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, crafting and shopping. Her memberships included the former St. Hedwig's R.C. Church and now Blessed Mary Angela Parish, and TOPS Silver Creek #890. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Conrad J. Pieszak Jr., whom she married April 12, 1980; children Colleen (Scott) Travis of Jamestown, Sally (Brian) Lemanski of Fredonia, Kimberly Madurski of Silver Creek, Christine (Salvador) Perez of San Diego, CA and Joseph Pieszak of Fredonia; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren. Sister of Robert Lyczkowski of Darien, IL, Elaine (Danny) Buckland of Gowanda. Sisters-in-law Gerry Begier of Dunkirk, Cindy (Dave) Pawlak along with several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Smith.Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk on Friday from 4-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 o'clock at Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwig's Cemetery.
