Norman F. Pieszak Sr.

Norman F. Pieszak Sr. Norman F. Pieszak Sr., 89, of Dunkirk, died Friday December 2, 2016, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo. He was born June 22, 1927, in Dunkirk, son of the late Joseph and Anges (Wysocki) Pieszak. A veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII with the Military Police and received the Army Occupation Medal and WWII Victory Medal. His memberships include the Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hedwig, past memberships include Forth Ward Falcon Club, First Ward Falcon Club and Kosciuszko Club. Norm enjoyed watching sports of any kind and was
also an avid bowler in his younger days. Surviving is his wife of 65 years Jane (Jaguszewski) Pieszak, whom he married June 16, 1951; their children, Norman F. (Cheryl) Pieszak Jr. of Getzville, Robert (Sandra) Pieszak of Elma, Bruce (Suzanne) Pieszak of Lake View; grandchildren, Dawn Pieszak, Ryan (Danielle) Pieszak, Kristen Pieszak, Robert Pieszak II, Brenden (Breanne) Pieszak, Michael Pieszak; great-grandchildren, Joseph Harvey, Thomas Harvey, Connor Pieszak, Austin Pieszak, Noah Pieszak, along with nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to his parents are a granddaughter Sara Pieszak and brothers Conrad, Harry and Daniel Pieszak. Relatives and friends are welcome to call Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St.Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwigás Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to RPCI Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, Elm & Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263 in Norm's granddaughter's name Sara Pieszak.
