Norman E. Chrabasz

Norman E. “Butchie” Chrabasz, 69, of Dunkirk, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at South Buffalo Mercy Hospital in Buffalo, following a brief illness. He was born May 3, 1950, in Dunkirk, son of the late Jacob and Frances (Sosinski) Chrabasz.

Norman served two yearsin the US Army, one year at Ft. Stewart, GA. and one year with the 95th EVAC Hospital, in Phu Bai, Vietnam. He was a retired employee of Nestle Purina, and most recently retired from the Chautauqua County Home in Dunkirk. Butchie, in his younger days, enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and his memberships include the First Ward Falcon Club and the Moniuszko Club.

Surviving is his brother; Ronald (Nancy) Chrabasz of Dunkirk, nieces; Tammi (John) Feiner, Melissa (Jason) Krzyzanowicz; great nephews Tyler Feiner, Bryce (Johanna Vargas) Feiner and Caleb Krzyzanowicz and great-great nephew Mason Feiner. Cousins and dear friends also survive.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
