Nancy A. Konko

Nancy A. Konko, 69, of Dunkirk, NY passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Chautauqua County Nursing & Rehab Center, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was a lifelong resident of Dunkirk, NY, born December 12, 1948 to the late Alfred and Winnifred (O’Husky) Mroczka.

She was a 1966 graduate of Dunkirk High School. She was a member of Blessed Mary Angela parish and the Dom Polski Club. She worked at Brooks Memorial Hospital as a nurse for several years. She enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles and was deeply devoted to caring for her family.

Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, David Konko, whom she married in 1972 and two children; Kevin Konko of Dunkirk and Pamela (Sean) Kenney of Allen, TX. She is further survived by a brother, Paul (Julie) Mroczka of Dunkirk; a sister, Sandy (Donald) Theisen of Lincoln, NE and sisters-in-law, Carol (Bob) Habich of Dunkirk and Susan Konko of Spencerport, NY as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Jeffery Konko.

There will be a private celebration of Nancy’s life. It will be held at the family’s convenience.
