Michael A. Skubis

Michael Allen Skubis, 65, of Forestville,  sadly passed

away peacefully Sunday, July 23^rd after a lengthy battle

with cancer. 

Born November 8, 1957 in Dunkirk,

A long-time resident of the Dunkirk/Fredonia area and 

graduate from Dunkirk High School class of 1974. 

Son of  the late Doris (Hart) Skubis and Edward Skubis, raised by 

Edward and Sandra (Bouquin) Skubis. 

Michael was one of four boys, Eddie (deceased), Rick 

and Danny. 

He was a lover of the Buffalo Bills and a season ticket holder

along with being an avid Pink Floyd listener. You could find

him any weekend scavenging yard sales as he was a junker who 

loved to collect hot wheels, antiques and anything he found 

interesting. He was never without his best companion(s), 

Sheppard mix Buddy and his numerous black lab rescues, 

Clifford, Floyd, Rufus and Cooley. 

He is survived by his two children, Tera (Skubis) Sotelo and 

Nicholas Skubis, along with their spouses, Eric Sotelo and Brianna 

(Solares) Skubis and his two grandsons, Richard Michael 

Welch and Gavin Quinn Sotelo. 

He sacrificed for his family and always put them first. 

His passing has left a giant hole in all our hearts. Shine On.
