Michael J. Gloss, 65 of Westfield, N.Y., succumbed to his fight with cancer on Saturday, March 20, at home surrounded by family.
Michael was born July 27, 1955, in Dunkirk, N.Y., to Howard Gloss and Adrienne (Kubasik) Fisk.
Michael was the owner of Great Lakes Specialties in Fredonia where he specialized in building specialty boxes and skids. After his retirement in 2019, he continued his love of woodworking by building custom furniture in his home shop and working on home improvements. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed unwinding by listening to the blues and spending time with his friends and family.
Michael is survived by his children, Brittany M. Gloss and Megan G. Gloss; mother Adrienne Fisk; father and step-mother, Howard and Patricia Gloss; brother Howard Steven Gloss and wife Mary; sisters, Shannon D. Fisk and Sheila Gloss; step-sisters, Lisa Eggleston and Penny Gummo. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Albert Fisk.
A private memorial for family and close friends will be held at a later date and time.
