Mary J. (Drak) Wisniewski, 93, of Erie, Pa., passed away Monday, Nov. 15, 2021, at UPMC Hamot Hospital.
Born Aug. 27, 1928, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Anthony and Angeline (Warchol) Maslach.
A retired supervisor at the former M. Wile/Inter-continental Branded Apparel in Dunkirk. Following her retirement, Mary drove transportation for the Office of the Aging, in Chautauqua County and was recognized as Volunteer of the Year in 2013. Her memberships include St Andrew’s Church in Erie and Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hedwig in Dunkirk. Mary was into the crafts, knitting, crocheting, sewing, braided rugs, was a great seamstress and she also enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving is her daughter, Barbara Parker in Erie; stepchildren: Gary (Pamela) Wisniewski of Rochester and Carol Engler of Carey, N.C.; sister. Lillian Napieralski; 11 grandchildren; 13 great great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her first husband, Thomas L. Drak in 1974; her second husband, Edwin Wisniewski in 1993; grandson, Todd Parker in 1991; sisters: Catherine Bialaszewski and Martha Dybka; brothers: Stanley Maslach and Ernest Maslach; also two infant sisters.
Relatives and friends may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty St, Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 a.m., in Blessed Mary Angela Roman Catholic Parish Church of St. Hedwig. Interment will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
