Marion L. “Marty” Tuczynski, 84, of Dunkirk, passed on to his eternal Reward on Monday evening February 25, 2019. He was born August 19, 1934, in Dunkirk, the son of the late Adelbert and Hattie (Gaszynski) Tuczynski.
A graduate of St. Hyacinth School in 1948, St. Mary’s Academy 1952.
He also attended John Carrol University. Marion served in the US Army from 1957 to 1959, as a medical supply specialist E-4 in HQ detachment of 8th Medical Battalion, stationed in Wackernheim, Germany. Marian married the love of his life, Lorraine (Michalski) on September10, 1960. A retired Driver-salesman after over 35 years of service with Firch Baking Company and Stroehman Bakeries and had also worked for Country Fair as Manager and assistant Manager.
His memberships include Holy Trinity R.C. Church, where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister.
Well known for his ceramic pieces, which he sold at craft shows locally and in Buffalo, “Ceramicsby Marty”. He also enjoyed gardening, crossword and jigsaw puzzles.
Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 58 years are their children Jean-Marie (Kenneth) Worosz and Wayne Allen Tuczynski both of Dunkirk, grandchildren Samantha Tuczynski, and Douglas Worosz,and a sister in law Patricia Tuczynski of West Seneca, along with nieces and nephews also survive. Preceded in death in addition to his parents are brothers Edwin and Daniel Tuczynski and sister Elaine Dombrowski. There will be no calling hours and a Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday morning at 11 AM in Holy Trinity R.C. Church. Entombment will be in the Pieta Mausoleum in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Flowers are gratefully declined and Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Church or Dunkirk Free Library.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff on 2A at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Also thanks go to George and Jane Dorman, Jeff and Donna Kubera, Barbara Pagano and Scott and Anthony during Marions illness.
