Lihnda L. Gillson

Linda L. Gillson, 81, of Dunkirk, died Friday, April 17, 2020, at home following a brief illness.

She was born October 2, 1938, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Elmer and Gladys (Deering) Ahrens.

A retired employee of J. C. Penny’s in Dunkirk in 2002.

Linda loved to play cards, gardening, bird watching, her cats, camping and time spent with family.

Her memberships included the Beaver Club, Senior Citizens Center, and the Moose Club.

Surviving is her husband of over 21 years Marvin W. Gillson, whom she married October 10, 1998, a sister Carol (Timothy) Smith, Joel (Tammie) Ahrens both of Dunkirk, Jean (Robert) Horey of Hilton, NY, sister in law Sharon Ahrens, step daughter Nancy Nichols Both of Dunkirk, Grandchildren along with nieces, nephews. Preceded in death in addition to her parents are a son Kenneth Gillson, April 11, 1960, brother Glenn Ahrens March 15, 2015, previous husband Michael Kundla April 19, 1996.

Private services were held and a celebration of life will be held at a later date to be announced.
