Kenneth G. Tilburg

Kenneth G. Tilburg, 84, of Fredonia, died Sunday afternoon, July 29, 2018, at ECMC in Buffalo.He was born in Dunkirk, November 14, 1933, son of the late Huleing and Elsie (Snyder) Tilburg.

A retired employee of Special Metals in Dunkirk. His memberships include St. Joseph R.C. Church, Moose Lodge #89, where he was past treasurer, and past member of the Kosciuszko Club.Ken was an avid golfer, and went on many trips with local clubs, he was well known as a small engine repairman who fixed lawn mowers, snowblowers, weed trimmers and more. He was a hard worker who was always busy fixing or building, also had a good sense of humor. His best times were that spent with his family.

Surviving are his children Daniel (Lisa) Tilburg of Fredonia, Sharon Tilburg (Dennis McGahey) of Rochester, grandchildren Alisha (Joe) Brenecki of Fredonia, Laura Tilburg of Rochester, Stacey (Ken) Betts of Fredonia, Christopher Ricotta of Ft. Mill, SC, great-grandchildren Deegan and Ronan Brenecki, Dominik Betts, Emalyn Ricotta along with several nieces and nephews also survive.Preceded in death in addition to his parents is his wife of 63 years Shirley (Przytula) Tilburg who died October 4, 2017, sister Betty Sackett, brothers Donald, Norman, Robert “Bob” Tilburg.

A memorial mass will be held Saturday at 12 Noon in St. Jospeh. R.C. Church. A reception following at the Beaver Club.
