James "Jim" C. Jaffray, 52, of Dunkirk, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Born March 17, 1971, he was the son of Charmaine Jaffray and the late Richard Jaffray who died February 13, 2018.
Jim graduated from Dunkirk Senior High School and resided in Dunkirk his whole life. He worked at Carriage House in Fredonia for over 20 years until they closed in 2014. He worked hard his whole life and always found himself working on odd jobs for others such as mowing lawns or roofing. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved talking football.
Jim was a loving father, son, brother and friend. His smile was infectious and would light up a room. He would help anyone or do anything for those he loved. His daughter Jamison and his German Shepherd Akai meant everything to him. He enjoyed taking his dog to the dog park to run and play with the frisbee.
He is survived by his daughter, Jamison Jaffray (Lucas Lugen); a grandson, Leighton James Lugen (newly born October 9, 2023); his mother Charmaine Jaffray; his two brothers Charlie Jaffray and Joshua Jaffray; nephew Jaydon Jaffray; niece Kaedence Jaffray.
Jim was predeceased by his father Richard Jaffray. Jim will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
