Irene Theresa Pincoski

Irene T. Pincoski, 88, of Dunkirk died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Brooks Memorial Hospital. She was born March 31, 1928 in Dunkirk, daughter of the late John and Helen (Zieminski) Chrabasz.

A past employee of Van Raalte Corporation in the billing Department, and retired from the Dunkirk Public School System, working at times in the cafeteria and custodial.

Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth, and the Civil Service Retirement System.

A volunteer of the St. Hyacinth's Dessert Card Party, the Chautauqua County Home and at St. Columban's.

Irene enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, jig saw puzzles, jumble puzzles and most of all, was champ in Scrabble Games.

Dearest mother of Eugene (Janet) Pincoski Jr. of Dunkirk, Richard (Peggy) Pincoski of Orchard Park, Janice Pincoski of Dunkirk, and had five grandsons who were the loves of her life.

Michael Pincoski of Binghamton, NY; Timothy (Jennifer) Pincoski of Clarence Center; Travis (Clair) Pincoski of Washington DC; Brian Pincoski of Norfolk, VA; Jared Pincoski of Chicago, IL.; one great-grandson Adam Robert Pincoski of Clarence Center; a sister, Martha Dobek of Dunkirk along with many nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband, Eugene Pincoski, who died June 9, 2001; son Gary Pincoski, who died in 1970; five brothers: Matthew, Anthony, Jacob, Frank and Aloisus Chrabasz; five sisters: Josephine Doktor, Mary Davis, Katherine Nowak, Dorothy Lanski and Cecelia Carrus.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Services will be on Monday morning at 10 o'clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to be made to the Dunkirk Free Library, 536 Central Ave, Dunkirk or Blessed Mary Angela Parish SunShine Fund, 324 Townsend Street, Dunkirk.
