Irene M. Slintz

Irene M. Slintz, 91, of Dunkirk, formerly of Silver Creek, died Monday evening, January 26, 2015, at the Absolut at Dunkirk. Born April 2, 1923, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Andrew and Lottie (Koszynski) Polasik. Past employee of the former Van Raalte Corporation in Dunkirk and Forbes & Wagner in Silver Creek. A member of Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Surviving are several nieces and nephews, along with special friends, Sue (Paul) Kaus of Dunkirk. Preceded in death, in addition to her parents, are her husband Charles Slintz, who died April 1, 1989; sisters, Elizabeth Dobek, Lucy Battaglia; brothers, Clement and Al Polasik. Per Irene's wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth and Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth's Cemetery
