Gary E. Parnell

Gary E. Parnell, 66, of Dunkirk, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa.

Born in Silver Creek, Aug. 28, 1954, the son of the Josephine (Robinson) Parnell.Gary retired from New York Telephone/Verizon and since his retirement was working at Nestle Puria.

An avid photographer, Gary had many places he like to capture.He also enjoyed his garden, dining out, going to the movies and occasional trips to the casino.Gary also enjoyed to travel and had made many trips to New Orleans and Hawaii, to where he had once taken his late sister, Sandra to enjoy the beautiful sunsets and beaches.

His memberships include the Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club.

Surviving are his sisters: Gail McKinney of Sinclairville and Dawn (Mario) Rosario of Dunkirk; nieces: Sara (Tyson Gugino) Rosario and Katelin (Todd) Fryberger; nephews: Raymond (Rosa Rios) Rosario and Mario Rosario; great-niece and great-nephew: Jenevieve Rosario and Lawrence Fryberger.Preceded in death in addition to his parents is a sister. Sandra Parnell.

Following the guidelines and protocols administered by the governor of NY, relatives and friends may call Thursday from 5-8 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St. in Dunkirk. A private interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
