Emily C. Snow, 92, of Fredonia at the WCA Home, and formerly of Fairview, PA, died Monday morning May 16, 2016, at Brooks Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born in Pomfret August 22, 1923, daughter of the late Casimer and Cecelia (Gawlowicz) Stranc.
A graduate of Fredonia High School and the Jamestown Business Institute.
A retired employee of the former Burhams Machine Company Inc., in Cassadaga, after over 20 years in the Accounting department, and she was also became Treasurer and was on the Board of Directors of the Company.
Her past memberships include St. John's R.C. Church in Girard, PA, the Fairview Fireman Ladies Auxiliary and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church.
Surviving is a nephew Lee (Sue) Thompson of Forestville and great Nephew Chris (Colleena) Thompson of Forestville.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband Edward F. Snow who died May 7, 1992, sisters Irene Larsen, Belle Kawski, brother Steven Stranc and niece Susan Thompson.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk on Thursday from 2-4 PM and Christian burial services to follow at 4 PM with the Rev Ray Donohue to officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
