Dorothy E. Krystofiak, 91, of Dunkirk, died Monday, March 12, 2021 at the Absolut at Westfield.
She was born December 17, 1929, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Wisniewski) Tuczynski.
At one time an employee of the former Van Raalte Corporation in Dunkirk and also worked on many local Grape Farms.
Dorothy enjoyed to play Bingo, scratch off lotto tickets, trips to the casino, and also was an avid Buffalo Bills and NY Yankees fan.
Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth and the Parish Fatima Society.
Surviving are her daughter Karen Hamernick of Dunkirk, son Thomas (Roberta) Krystofiak of Illinois, grandchildren Steve (Cally) Hamernick of Dunkirk, Thomas G. (Beth) Krystofiak of Arizona, Jay (Kristelle) Krystofiak of Hawaii, Emily Krystofiak of Illinois, great grandchildren Lynsy Hamernick, Clayton Hamernick, Alex, Sammy, Noah, Tommy, Ethan, Isabelle, Parker, Everleigh, Allie, and great great grandson Greyson.Preceded in death in addition to her parents is her husband Bernard Krystofiak who died April 4, 1992, and sister Rita Jusko.
Following the guidelines and protocols administered by the governor of New York, relatives and friends may call today from 3-5 p.m. at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 E Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning in Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
