Dolores Ann “SIS” Szukala, 74, of Dunkirk, past away Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022, at the home with her daughters at her side.
She was born Jan. 16, 1948, in Dunkirk, daughter of the late Elmer and Isabelle (Gorczynski) Graves.
A retired real estate agent having worked for Midtown Reality for many years.
Dolores was a past member at the Dom Polski Club and an avid bowler, she enjoyed the cooking, sewing, crocheting, and fly fishing.
Surviving are her daughters: Pamela (Andy) Lawrence of Fredonia, Laura (Michael) Johnson of North Carolina, Melissa (Robert) Haase of Texas, Tricia (David) Hill of Alabama; her companion, Don Piglowski of Dunkirk; grandchildren: Kim, Kaylene Kalfas, Stephanie Kreppel, Jacob Altweis, Ryan Luczkowiak, Julie Wallace, Jessica Brittich, Tyler Wiggins, Anna, Michael Hill; 10 great-grandchildren; also surviving are a brother, Robert Graves; and sister, Karen (Pat) Gustafson; along with several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her husband, John Szukala, who died April 29, 2012; daughter Katherine Luczkowiak in 2015; and sister, Elaine Dragon.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call on Friday from 4-7 p.m., at the R. Mackowiak Funeral home Inc., 56 E. Doughty St. Private Burial will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery, and a celebration of life will be at the Kosciuszko Club, 252 Nevins St., in Dunkirk, on Saturday starting at 11:30 p.m.
