Daniel A. Miller, 64, of Dunkirk, died unexpectedly, Saturday July 18, 2015, at Brooks Memorial Hospital. He was born July 4, 1951, in Dunkirk, son of the late Elmer and Rose (Bennice) Miller. A graduate of Jamestown Community College class of 1969 with a associates degree. He was co-owner of Miller and Crane Builders, a successful construction company for over 30 years in the local area with his long time friend Steve Crane. Danny was well loved by family and friends in the community, he was a caring person who would do anything for anyone, and was an avid NY Yankee's and Buffalo Bill's fan. He enjoyed the lake, boating, socializing with family and friends. Among his many memberships are Northern Chautauqua Conservation Club, Moniuszko Club, First Ward Falcons Club, Fireman's Exempt Club, Beaver Club, Dom Polski Club, and was a share holder and founding member of Bart's Cove and Marina, and was instrumental to make it what it is today. Dan was well known for his happy and carefree attitude and and was happiest when spending time laughing with family and friends at Bart's Cove and Marina. Surviving is his wife Rose M. Miller of Dunkirk, his children LAURIE (Sam) Trinch of MI., Daniel Miller Jr, of Seattle WA., Nicholas (Lisett) Miller of NC., step-sons Ronald Jr., Mark Waclawski both of Dunkirk, and Michael Waclawski of Alaska, grandchildren Lilliana, Jack Trinch, Grant Miller, Alba and Natalie Miller, a sister Patricia Boris, and brother David Miller both of Dunkirk, along with nieces, nephews and many friends also survive. Relatives and friends are welcome to call Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street for Christian Services and a Celebration of Life to held at 1 PM at Bart's Cove and Marina, 1 1/2 Woodrow Avenue in Dunkirk.
