Ann S. Pauszek

July 16, 1928 — June 22, 2018

Ann S. Pauszek, 89, of Dunkirk, went to be with her Lord and Savior.Following a lengthy illness, Friday June 22, 2018, at Brooks Memorial Hospital.

She was born in Arkwright, July 16, 1928, daughter of the late Leo and Catherine (Witek) Schilling.

Ann was a retired employee of Holy Trinity R.C. Parish, and at one time Worked at the former ALCO plant and Dunkirk Public Schools.

She enjoyed to Crochet, taking family pictures, watching the birds, gardening, working at her brother’s grape farm and was a wonderful cook and baker.

Her memberships include Blessed Mary Angela R.C. Parish Church of St. Hyacinth, the Bishops Committee, Mothers Club, Good Shephard Prayer Group, WW II Veterans Club Auxiliary and past officer.

Surviving is her husband of 67 years, Raymond F. Pauszek I, whom she married August 5, 1950, their children Eugene (Mary) Pauszek of Dunkirk, Gail (Stewart) Foster of Cheektowaga, Maryanne Panfil of Dunkirk, Raymond Pauszek II of Dunkirk, Julianne (David) Root of Fredonia, John “Utah” (Kathy) Pauszek of Florida, 11 grandchildren Kara (Craig) Swartzlander of Cheektowaga, Rebecca (Rich) Glowniak of Dunkirk, Justin (Jennifer) Foster of Amherst, Steve (Lisa) Pauszek of CT, Jonathan (Jennifer) Panfil of Angola, Amanda (George) Vallone of Florida, Raymond Pauszek III of CA, Elizabeth Panfil of Dunkirk, Matthew (Caitlin) Pauszek of Blasdell, Jessica Pauszek of TX, Timothy (Miranda) Pauszek of WA., five great-grandchildren, sister Katherine Reading of Sheridan, brother Benjamin (Mary Lou) Schelling of Fredonia, sister in law of Rita Moriarty of Fredonia, Mary Ann Schelling of Fla, many nieces and nephews also survive.Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her step father Harry Schelling, infant brother, brother Lawrence Schelling, sisters Bernice Grupa, Helen Wincenciak, Mary Esther Kawski, beloved daughter in law Cheryl Pauszek, son in law Carl Panfil, and nephew Tab Wincenciak.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9, at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock in Blessed Mary AngelaR.C. Parish Church. Interment will follow in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
